So much so, that many liberal scholars believe this book was written after the events it describes! In this incredible account, we find God speaking through dreams and visions, we hear of warring supernatural beings, the fingers of a hand appear out of nowhere to write a cryptic message, and to top it off, twice the Lord rescues his followers from inescapable death sentences. Daniel gives us a prophetic outline of the history of the world covering five centuries, beginning with the Babylonians and ending with the Romans. Though many scholars claim that Daniel teaches us about the end of the world, I would argue that is not Daniel’s point.
